Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, Nov. 2, upstairs at the Campus Theatre beginning at 7 pm to read a play out loud. Last week, everyone must have been busy, because nobody had shown up by 7:15, so Julie closed up shop and went home to grade papers.
The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be Nov. 16.
Auditions for DCT's competition production of Proof will be Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 1 & 2, starting at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre. Production dates are Jan. 14-23 with potential contest dates through June. There are roles for 2 men and 2 women.
DCT's production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood opens tonight and runs through Nov. 7. Go to http://www.campustheatre.com/ or call 940 382-1915 (M-F 1-5) for tickets.
The Second Saturdays Seminar on Nov. 13 will feature DCT Volunteer of the Year Betsy Deiterman leading a discussion of how and what to volunteer for at DCT. The seminar runs from 1-3 pm at the Campus Theatre; it's free; reservations are encouraged but not required. DCT will be hosting an Open House at the newly-renovated Black Box Performing Arts Center, 318 E. Hickory in Denton, on Sunday, Nov. 7, from 2-5 pm. Come see our new auxiliary facility and enjoy some cookies and punch!
