Play Readers of Denton will meet Mar. 5 at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud. Last week, we read Matthew Barber's adaptation of Enchanted April.
The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be March 19. Please let Julie (thedctteam@campustheatre.com) know asap if you're bringing something that you'd like readers for!
The Second Saturdays Seminar on March 9 will be reserved for potential Method and Madness directors who'd like to hear one of the Round 2 scripts read out loud. The April 13 Second Saturdays Seminar will be a hands-on workshop about putting together a staged reading. Second Saturdays Seminars run 1-3 pm at the Campus Theatre, and they're free!
MTD's Gypsy opens Mar. 1 and runs through Mar. 10. Play Reader Clay White, who wowed DCT audiences with Hairspray last August, directs. More info at www.musictheatreofdenton.com; box office (M-F 1-5) at (940) 382-1915.
Next up at DCT will be the Black Box presentation of The Last Five Years Mar. 29-31, directed by Clay White, the busiest man in North Texas. The King and I will open at the Campus Theatre on April 5 for two weekends.
