Play Readers will meet Sept. 7
Happy Labor Day, everyone!
Play Readers will meet Tuesday, Sept. 7, upstairs at the Campus Theatre starting at 7 pm. Last week Play Readers fell on the fifth Tuesday of a month, so we had a night off.
The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be Sept. 21 at 7 pm.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of Drood! Past and present Play Readers involved include Rachel Tillman, Suzie Venable, Melanie Welch, Mark Jadrych, Brad Speck, and Jim Laney.
September's Second Saturdays Seminar will be a "Take 2" of last month's season overview with Outreach Director Julie Brinker. (The computer hard drive crash last month took out our email and internet capabilities just as we needed to get the word out.) The seminar will include synopses, fun facts, and maybe even a special guest or two. It will run 1-3 pm at the Campus Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 11, and is a free adult-education outreach program; reservations are not required, but are encouraged.
And last but not least, DCT's The Importance of Being Earnest opens Sept. 17--do you have your tickets yet?
Hope to see you around the Campus!
