Play Readers will meet Feb. 2

Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, Feb. 2, upstairs at the Campus Theatre from 7-9(ish) pm to read a play out loud. Last week, we read Katie Forgette's bittersweet family comedy, The O'Connor Girls.

The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 7 pm.

Mark your calendars now for the Second Saturdays Seminar on Feb. 13 from 1-3 pm! Mike Barrow, DCT Managing Director, will host “Opening the Black Box,” which will present plans and news about DCT’s second-venue-in-progress. If you’ve been wondering what all the fuss is about, this is the place to learn everything about the new facility down Hickory Street from the Campus Theatre. Frequent questions like: “Just what is a black box?”; “What will you do with it?”; “Who will get to use it?”; “When will it open?”; and “How can I book it?” will be addressed. Please let the theatre know if you're planning to attend by emailing thedctteam@campustheatre.com or calling 940 382-7014 x3.

  1. I've never been to the Campus Theater, but I'm interested in the Play Readers group. Where do you meet in the theater?

  2. We meet upstairs in the Board Room, or sometimes in the adjacent Mezzanine. We meet downstairs in the box office lobby (use the green door near the corner of Cedar Street and Hickory) and then troop upstairs at 7 pm--hope to see you soon!
