Playwrights of Denton will meet Jan. 17

The next Playwrights of Denton meeting is scheduled for Jan. 17, 2017 at 7 pm. We have a playwright, Kurt Hyde, who'd like to present, so please let us know if you're available to read by emailing thedctteam@campustheatre.com. 

The play is Black-Eyed Peas and has four characters: one adult male; one adult female; one teen-aged boy; and one teen-aged girl. It takes place in the South during Reconstruction. A widow and her two children struggle to survive while a Yankee carpetbagger takes whatever he can.

It takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

 

Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud. Last week, we read The Shadow Box in anticipation of upcoming auditions for the Black Box production.
