Play Readers will meet Jan. 24

Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud.
 
The next Playwrights of Denton meeting is scheduled for Feb. 21, 2017 at 7 pm. Please email thedctteam@campustheatre.com if you have something you'd like read asap.

This is the final weekend of DCT's Mainstage production of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, which includes Play Readers Polly Maynard, Melanie Welch, Susan Thornton, and Dr. Linda Rubin in the cast and crew.

Playwrights of Denton will meet Jan. 17

The next Playwrights of Denton meeting is scheduled for Jan. 17, 2017 at 7 pm. We have a playwright, Kurt Hyde, who'd like to present, so please let us know if you're available to read by emailing thedctteam@campustheatre.com. 

The play is Black-Eyed Peas and has four characters: one adult male; one adult female; one teen-aged boy; and one teen-aged girl. It takes place in the South during Reconstruction. A widow and her two children struggle to survive while a Yankee carpetbagger takes whatever he can.

It takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Congratulations to Play Readers Jim Laney, Bryan Patrick, Wes Porter, and Gary Fulton, who have all been cast in DCT's MainStage production of Oliver!, directed by Play Reader Pat Watson and produced by Play Reader Brad Speck!

Play Readers will meet Jan. 10

Play Readers of Denton will meet again Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud, when we'll begin our 11th year of meeting!
