Play Readers will meet as usual on June 2 at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud. Last week, we read The Cemetery Club by Ivan Menchell.
The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16. If you have something you'd like to hear, please emailthedctteam@campustheatre.com and we'll put you on the schedule.
Please note that there's a fifth Tuesday in June (on the 30th) so Play Readers will take a break that night.
The Method and Madness New Plays Festival is this weekend--thanks to the many Play Readers who helped adjudicate it, and congratulations to Playwright Kurt Hyde, whose play Silent Night is one of this year's winners! Staged readings are Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at 7 pm at the DCT POINTBank Black Box. More info at www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com.
