Playwrights of Denton will meet June 18

Play Readers of Denton will next meet June 25 at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud. Last week, we read Woody Allen's one-act plays, Death and God, in anticipation of auditions next week.

Sly Fox runs through this weekend. This hilarious adaptation Ben Jonson's Volpone is set in 1890's San Francisco and revolves around a con man's schemes to get richer quicker--the cast is full of Play Readers, including Dennis Welch in the lead role, Johnny Williams, Brad Speck, Polly Maynard, Bob Ize, Kevin Wickersham, Bryan Patrick, and John Rodgers.

Auditions for the next POINTBank Black Box show, a double bill of Woody Allen's one-act plays Death and God, will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 17 and 18, at 7 pm at the Center for the Visual Arts.
