Playwrights of Denton will meet Oct. 16

Playwrights of Denton will meet Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Campus Theatre at 7 pm to support the work of local playwrights. Playwrights who are planning to have a play (or part of one) read should contact Julie at thedctteam@campustheatre.com to arrange to have copies made. Play Readers are welcome to help read the scripts!

Last week, Play Readers read Master Harold...and the Boys by Athol Fugard. Next week, we're planning to read Ubu the King by Alfred Jarry.

We're starting to receive submissions for the Method and Madness competition, so the Second Saturday Seminar on Oct. 13 (1-3 pm at the Campus Theatre) will be on Reading and Evaluating New Scripts. Potential adjudicators are encouraged to attend.

Would we like to have a Play Readers and Writers of Denton tile at the POINTBank Black Box? Tiles start at $100, so if there are 10 of us who would chip in $10 each, or 20 of us who would chip in $5, we could be permanently commemorated.
