Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, June 28, at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud.
Last week, Playwrights of Denton met to support the work of local playwrights. We read scenes from Elsie Barrow and Claud Singer, and the start of a children's book by Rachel Tillman, which will make a fine family-audiences script in the future.
DCT opens the wildly popular Red, White, and Tuna tonight; it runs this weekend and next, with performances at 8 pm Friday and Saturday and 2 pm Sunday. Tickets are $20 per person. More info at http://www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com/RedWhiteTuna.htm. (FYI--Opening night is SOLD OUT!!!)

Playwrights of Denton will meet June 21
Playwrights of Denton will meet June 21 at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to support the work of local playwrights. The July meeting of Playwrights will be July 19.
Last week, Play Readers of Denton read Red, White, and Tuna, and we are now totally excited about seeing DCT's fundraising production, which opens June 24. More info at http://www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com/RedWhiteTuna.htm.

Play Readers will meet June 14
Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, June 14 at the Campus Theatre starting at 7 pm to read a play out loud. Last week, we had an all-female group, and read Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias. We laughed, we cried, we bonded.
The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be Tuesday, June 21 at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre.

The Second Saturdays Seminar on June 11 will feature a workshop on "Warming Up for a Hot Performance," featuring warm-up techniques and tips for handling stage fright. The workshop will be led by Julie Brinker, DCT Outreach Director. It's free and runs from 1-3 pm at the Campus Theatre. The Second Saturdays Seminar is DCT's adult-education outreach program.

Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, June 7 at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre to read a play out loud. Last Tuesday was the fifth Tuesday of the month, so Play Readers took a break.
The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be June 21.
The Campus Theatre will be "deep in the heart of Texas" this month, with Denton Community Theatre's Mainstage production of Del Shores' Daughters of the Lone Star State June 10-19, followed by the fundraising production of Red White and Tuna June 24-July 3.
