With Thanksgiving coming up, and so many Play Readers going off to see friends and family (or welcoming friends and family here), we won't try to meet Tuesday, Nov. 22. Instead, we'll meet Tuesday, Nov. 29, even though it's technically the fifth Tuesday of the month. We're planning to read Dan Creson's new cycle of one-act plays, and we need a bunch of readers--please try to come if you can!
Last week, Playwrights of Denton met, but we didn't have enough readers to cover the roles in Dan's plays. The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be January 17, 2012, because the Campus will be closed for the holidays when we would usually meet in December.
Remember that the submission deadline for DCT's Method and Madness One-Act Play Competition is January 14, 2012. Prizes range from $2000 to $200. More info at http://www.dentoncommunitytheatre/PlaywritingCompetitionMainPage.htm.
Mark your calendars now for the Second Saturdays Seminar on December 10, 2011. Kyla Welch will be leading a workshop on Improv for Beginners, and it's going to be a really fun time. The workshop is free and runs from 1-3 pm at the Campus Theatre.
