Play Readers will meet April 5

Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, April 5, starting at 7 pm to read Del Shores' Daughters of the Lone Star State (in advance of auditions April 10 and 11 at the Black Box: http://www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com/DaughtersoftheLoneStarStateinfo.htm). There are roles for 11 women, so gentlemen in attendance will be welcome to experiment with their falsettos. On Tuesday, April 12, Play Readers will tackle Tom Stoppard's Arcadia. There are roles for 8 men and 4 women. The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be Tuesday, April 19, at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre.com. An Evening with Tennessee Williams, the next production at the DCT Black Box, will perform April 8 and 9 at 7:30 pm and April 10 at 2 pm. General admission tickets are $10. More info at http://www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com/Snoopyinfo.htm. The Second Saturdays Seminar on April 9 from 1-3 pm at the Campus Theatre will be a workshop on Stage Makeup: Basics and Age. Julie Brinker, DCT Outreach Director, will lead the workshop; she is designing the animal makeup for Snoopy!!! and has taught Stage Makeup at Arizona State University, Illinois State University, and the University of New Hampshire. Workshop participants can elect to observe the demonstration or bring personal makeup kits to play along. For hygienic reasons, DCT cannot provide makeup to share. Hope to see you at the Campus!
