Play Readers will meet Feb. 8, unless there's ice!

Play Readers of Denton is planning to meet upstairs at the Campus Theatre at 7 pm to read a play out loud on Tuesday, Feb. 8--unless the next ice storm comes in early! We canceled last week, hoping that the storm would then swing north and miss us (fat lot of good that did!) but are keeping our fingers crossed that we'll be able to meet this Thursday. We'll try to send out an email in we decide to cancel early, but, of course, rely on our readers to exercise their own best judgment about the conditions on the streets.

Auditions for DCT's production of Snoopy!!! the musical are Feb. 7 & 8 at 7 pm at the Campus Theatre. More info here: http://www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com/snoopyinfo.htm.

DCT's new alternative space, the Black Box Performing Arts Center, will host its premiere production this weekend, All in the Timing, by David Ives. You can find out more about the six short plays that will be performed, and how to buy tickets, here: http://www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com/AllintheTimingBlackBox.htm.

Break a leg to Play Readers Damon Wadyko and Julie Brinker, who are opening in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie at Greater Lewisville Community Theatre this weekend!

Brad Speck will be leading the Second Saturdays Seminar on Feb. 12 from 1-3 pm at the Campus Theatre. The workshop will focus on lighting basics, and is free to all interested adults. Reservations are not required, but we appreciate knowing that you're planning to attend so that we can be sure to make enough handouts to go around: please email thedctteam@campustheatre.com or call 940 382-7014 x3 to put your name on the list.

Auditions for DCT's next Black Box show, An Evening With Tennessee Williams, are scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Center for the Visual Arts, 400 E. Hickory. You can find out more here: http://www.dentoncommunitytheatre.com/aneveningwithtennesee.htm.

The Campus and environs are busy places these days--hope to see you sometime soon!
