Playwrights of Denton will meet June 15

Playwrights of Denton will meet Tuesday, June 15, upstairs at the Campus Theatre, starting at 7 pm. The purpose of the group is to support local playwrights by reading, commenting, and talking through the problems of writing a narrative script. The group meets the third Tuesday of each month; the next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be July 20.

DCT's production of Night of the Iguana by Tennessee Williams opens June 11 and runs through June 20. "Break a leg" to Play Readers Rachel Tillman and Mark Jadrych. You can buy tickets online through www.campustheatre.com or call or visit the Box Office, 940 382-1915, M-F 1-5 to purchase with a credit card.

Dennis Welch, DCT actor/director extraordinaire, will be leading the Second Saturdays Seminar on June 12 from 1-3 at the Campus Theatre. This free workshop for adults will focus on auditioning for non-musical plays. Mr. Welch will cover cold readings, prepared monologues, and common improvisation exercises. Participants are welcome to bring a monologue to work on. Reservations are not required, but we appreciate knowing that you're planning to attend so that we can have enough handouts made. Call 940 382-7014 x3 or email thedctteam@campustheatre.com to reserve a place.

Happy Summer! Hope to see you around the Campus soon!
