Play Readers of Denton will meet Tuesday, June 1, upstairs at the Campus Theatre at 7 pm to read a play out loud. Last time, we read Dan Creson's start of a new script and Paul Rudnick's I Hate Hamlet.
The next meeting of Playwrights of Denton will be June 15.
Don't forget that on June 10, Dennis Welch will be leading the Second Saturdays Seminar! The topic is "Open Call," and Dennis will cover all aspects for auditioning for a non-musical play, including cold readings, monologues, and improvisation exercises. (We'll cover auditioning for musicals in another seminar.) Participants are welcome to bring a monologue to workshop. Dennis is currently directing Night of the Iguana for DCT, and has been through the audition process as an actor or director for over 40 years. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 940 382-7014 x3 if you're planning to attend, so we can have enough copies of the handouts!
Night of the Iguana opens June 11. Have you made your reservation yet?
